your obligations

The benefits of managing your own transport network are many and varied. Flexibility, choice, higher quality, better safety standards and the opportunity to realise funding surpluses are great incentives to enter the Direct Resourcing programme. However, these benefits must be considered alongside more than fify-five requirements imposed by the government with the introduction of new agreements from 1 January 2009. Luckily these requirements are funded by the government through a transport administration fee and can be easily handled by a transport administration services provider with the appropriate expertise.

The following table summarises your responsibilities and matches them one to an SSTS transport management product. This list contains only the basic requirements imposed by the Ministry and does not include the large number of tasks required to run a high-quality, efficient school bus operation.
